What Causes Cure Blanket Weed?
Blanket Weed like all algae feeds of nitrates, phosphates and other waste material in pond water. As water temperatures rise Blanket weed and algae can become
even more of a problem, often completely taking over the pond blocking pond filters, bottom drains as well as being extremely unsightly. Good filtration and the addition of a ultra Violet clarifier will cure suspended algae (green water).
However Blanket Weed is more difficult to cure. Secondry problems can be lack of oxygen in pond water causing distress to fish as the Blanket weed takes all the oxygen out of the pond water.
